While success in recruiting can be attributed to a number of characteristics, you will surely find that being resourceful and a great listener is at the core of these talent warriors.  Thankfully for them, Twitter has provided a wonderful resource and an opportunity to listen and engage in a wide variety of conversations.

Through the use of Twitter hashtags, individuals and organizations have created incredibly popular events called Twitter Chats.  There are chats for literally every topic!  Sports, Healthy Living, Small Business, NASCAR, and of course, Recruiting and the Job Search.

How to Join a Twitter Chat

Before we get too crazy, the first thing you need to do is select a Twitter Chat you’d like to join.    Luckily for you, we’ve created an amazing list of chats for Recruiters below.  You’ll find that most chats are weekly, with others choose to run bi-weekly or monthly.

Once you’ve selected your chat of choice, sign into Twitter before or during the Twitter Chat is live.  Go to TweetChat.com, and then you can enter the hashtag of the chat you’d like to follow.  Enter the hashtag at the very top of the page.  Here’s a picture guide for you:
